Childhood friends Terri Clark-Jordan and Julian deGianni have continued with their lives until they unexpectedly meet again after years of non-communication. Things are different. They are different. Terri is now an accomplished therapist who is married to her high school sweetheart, Dr. Derrick Jordan, with whom she shares two daughters, Zuri (10) and Zara (8). Julian was Terris best friend until he unexpectedly moved away in the middle of college. Now hes back in town and back in Terris life. As a result, Terri must face the truth about her newly rekindled friendship with Julian, her marriage, and about herself with the help of two female friends, Dr. Deidra "Dee" Manning and Gloria Shaw. A trail of intrigue surrounding Julians unknown family background, Terris concealed marriage to Derrick, and events in the past regarding one of her friends, intensifies as the two soon discover one anothers secrets in the most unsuspecting ways. Are the secrets kept intentionally or are they facts that, if divulged, would make a major change in the course of their friendship? Both Terri and Julian have strong relationships with their mothers who, through heartfelt discussions and mind-opening wisdom, encourage their adult children to take a closer look at themselvessomething they have avoided doing since childhood. Will the dishonesty, inadvertent as it may be, shatter their friendship? Or, will the events they experience reveal something that neither of them has been able to admit for so long? If revealed, will their self-exploration allow them to go on with life as usual due to their enduring devotion to preserving their family units? Walk with Terri and Julian as they try to deal with issues of trust, friendship, love, life and loss that, if done so successful, will help them face, and perhaps overcome, incomplete denial.
